36 Holes of Championship Golf on the Penn State Campus

Penn State Golf Courses offers 36 holes of championship golf on the campus of Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA. The facility features two distinct 18-hole layouts, the Blue Course and the White Course. Each course has its own character and challenge, set among the rolling terrain of central Pennsylvania.

Penn State Blue Course

The Blue Course is a par 72 stretching 7,228 yards from the championship tees. Redesigned and renovated in 2006, it features 27 greenside bunkers on the front nine, a links-style back nine with large undulating greens, and water hazards that come into play on the 14th and 18th holes. It has hosted Big Ten Championships, USGA events, and numerous prestigious amateur tournaments.

Penn State White Course

The White Course traces its roots back to 1922, when two-time Open Champion and renowned architect Willie Park Jr. designed the original layout. Shorter than the Blue at 6,344 yards, the White Course features smaller, raised, and undulating greens that demand creative shotmaking and a disciplined short game. Several of Park’s original holes remain in play today, making it one of the oldest collegiate golf layouts in the country.
