Philipsburg Elks Lodge Officers and Leadership
Elks Lodges have a structured leadership team that includes officers, trustees, and appointees. Each group has specific roles and responsibilities crucial for the effective operation of the lodge. Each year elections are held to establish new officers, rotate through the ranks, or turn out.
2024 Elks Officers
Below the Exalted Ruler are additional officers assisting the Exalted Ruler and serving our Elks Lodge.
Esteemed Leading Knight: Nicki Paul
The first vice president and second in command. Assists the ER and presides in their absence, focusing on membership growth and engagement.
Esteemed Loyal Knight: Cynthia Kechisen
The second vice president. Responsible for lodge programs related to justice and discipline.
Esteemed Lecturing Knight: David Eyerly
The third vice president. Oversees educational programs and activities promoting the principles of brotherly love.
Esquire: Sandy Hassinger
Acts as the marshal during meetings and ceremonies.Assists in maintaining order and decorum.
Chaplain: Ed Kechisen
Leads the lodge in prayers and provides spiritual guidance during meetings and ceremonies.
Inner Guard: Anna Ross
Protects the inner door of the lodge room, ensuring only members in good standing are admitted.
Tiler: Suzanne Ryan
Guards the outer door and ensures the secrecy of meetings. Manages the lodge’s regalia and paraphernalia.
Trustees
Typically a board consisting of three to five members elected for staggered terms.
Responsible for the management of lodge property and investments.
Oversee the financial affairs of the lodge, ensuring that funds are used appropriately and in accordance with lodge policies.
