Frequently Asked Questions

Is membership worth it if I only play once a week?

Yes! If you play 20-25 rounds per season (about once a week), you’ll break even compared to public rates. Plus you get member-only weekend mornings, reciprocal discounts, demo days, and leagues—all included. Most members tell us they play MORE once they join because there’s no cost per round holding them back. Golf members walk for free, whenever they want!

Can I pay monthly instead of all at once?

We offer 4-payment plans for all membership tiers (except Junior). For adult memberships, that’s $267.50 every few months instead of $1,070 upfront. No interest. No fees. Makes it much more manageable.

What’s included vs. what costs extra?

INCLUDED: Unlimited walking, member-only tee times, reciprocal discounts, demo days, league access, lesson discounts, simulator discounts.

EXTRA: Golf carts ($20 per 18 holes or buy yearly cart pass), food and drinks, pro shop purchases, private lessons.

Can I bring guests?

Yes! Members can bring non-member guests anytime. Guests pay the public rate for greens fees. It’s a great way to introduce friends to the course (and maybe they’ll join too!).

How do reciprocal rates work?

Your golf membership gets you discounted rates at over 40 other Pennsylvania courses. Just call the course ahead of time, tell them you’re a PELCC member, and you’ll get the discounted rate. We provide you a complete list with phone numbers and rates when you join.

Do you offer lessons or clinics?

Yes! Paul Fischer has been our golf pro for 30+ years. Members get discounted rates on private and group lessons. He’s taught state qualifiers, college golfers, and future golf professionals. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced player, Paul can help improve your game.

What are the demo days?

Twice per year (spring and summer), Titleist and Ping send representatives to our course with their newest equipment. You can try all their latest clubs for free and get a professional club fitting. Members only. This perk alone is worth $200+ and is included free with your membership.

How do I book tee times as a member?

Call the pro shop at (814) 342-1114 or stop by in person. We’ll get you scheduled. Members get priority access to weekend morning tee times (before 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays).

Can I play in leagues if I’m a beginner?

Absolutely! Our leagues are casual and handicap-based, so you compete with players at your skill level. There’s no pressure and no commitment—just play when you can. It’s a great way to improve your game and make friends.

When does the season start and end?

The course typically opens around April 1st (weather dependent) and closes in late October. Your membership covers the full season. We also have golf simulators available for winter play at discounted member rates.

Do I have to join as an Elks Member too?

Yes, if you are 21 years of age or older, you must also fill out an Elks membership application. The Elks membership is your social membership. It allows you to participate in in member-only events, get 10% discounts on food, bring friends, and more.
